The Challenge

Bringing a service that reshapes ownership to more people

Role

Design across the board (product, corporate, and sales materials)

About the Client

ecbo Inc. is a startup on a mission to “make ownership free.” Built around ecbo cloak — a service for leaving luggage across Japan and Taiwan — it leads the sharing economy. It is also the special company where Miniru first learned design as an intern.

A microsite for a world-class event

The event microsite — the event's own palette kept intact, carried by ecbo's friendly illustration style

ecbo was selected as an official partner for a world-class event held in Osaka. I designed a dedicated microsite for booking luggage storage and delivery.

With many stakeholders involved, two needs ran in parallel: moving carefully, while also shipping fast as the opening date closed in.

I honored the event's color palette and regulations while protecting the "friendly" and "clean" impression that is ecbo's strength — and, drawing on my product-design background, I sweated the functionality too.

Design system & UI

The tidied-up UI components: buttons, calendar, modals and more, defined once for both web and app

ecbo cloak is a service used across both web and a mobile app. On top of that, the design has to communicate to visitors of many nationalities coming to Japan.

That made organizing a long-untouched design system and UI especially rewarding work.

I built it by blending the craft honed in SaaS design with the "global perspective" that is my own.

Work

From upstream SaaS strategy to pixel-level UI/UX, design systems, and recruiting decks — I handle it all.
